In-House Design Center: Unique to Legacy is an in- house design center and design/selections coordinators. There are a lot of choices to make during the construction process and we’re with you every step of the way. We know that you have jobs, families, and lives to maintain so we have streamlined the selections process and have everything under one roof in a comfortable and convenient setting.

Full Support Staff: Even during tough economic times, Legacy has maintained a full staff in order to continue to serve our customers. In addition to your design/selections coordinator, you will work with a site superintendent who manages your jobsite on a day to day basis. The construction manager conducts an internal quality inspection before the home is turned over to you and works with the superintendent daily. You will also work with either the president or the sales and product manager to go over the plans, review the specifications, and discuss pricing. These individuals plus a full support staff are here to make sure you have the best experience possible.

Guaranteed Up Front Pricing: Legacy has the industry knowledge, experience, and systems in place to guarantee your price up front. Other companies may simply give you a list of cost estimates with a multiplier added to the bottom- line, known as "cost-plus." At the end of the project, they look at their actual costs versus the estimates and simply bill you the difference. In a cost-plus situation, your builder has no incentive to work harder or for less because they will simply pass the costs on to you. At Legacy, we meticulously study and disclose the scope of work so the burden for overages is on us, not you.

Financial Stability: We are a financially stable and solvent company and we have the documentation to prove it. If a builder were to have financial trouble during construction, the customer could end up with liens on the property or have to hire another builder to finish the job at a premium. Choosing a financially strong builder is something to take very seriously.

Detailed Change Order and Selections Paperwork: Our change order system ensures that you are always kept informed of your current contract price. Here’s how it works: any deviation you want to make from the contract specifications is called a change order. As soon as a change is requested, it is sent to the office to be priced. The description and price of the change is typed up and emailed to you for review. You simply sign the document and the change is approved. It’s as simple as that! With this process, you will always know your current contract price. And we always give the prices up front so you have the choice to accept or decline the option.

Labor and Material Contracts: Because we are a larger company, vendors and suppliers stand in line to work for us. As a result of our production volume, we are able to negotiate below-market pricing contracts that are passed along to you, our customers. Simply said, we get the same or better quality products and services as others in the industry, but for less.

Triangle Building Leadership: Legacy is a charter member of the Triangle Builders Guild (TBG). The TBG is an invitation-only association of custom homebuilders where membership requires: an outstanding track record of ethical practices, successful project management, satisfied customers, and a passion and specialized skills for building quality custom homes. This group has teamed up to leverage purchasing power as a group and is contractually ensured access to the lowest prices for labor and materials in the region.
